Brockton "Brock"
Sidney, MT
Dancer x Cheif
Montana Hi-Line litter.  Whelped 2-20-18, 4 girls and 4 boys, futurity nominated.

"the “Montana Hi-Line” refers to the northern part of Montana that is adjacent to US Highway 2 – or more or less about the first 100 miles of Montana that lies south of the Canadian border. The full Hi-Line in Montana stretches from the North Dakota to the Idaho border, for a distance of more than 650 miles. A trip down the Hi-Line is, due to this distance, a long one. (See the Hi-Line Maps page for maps of the region).  However, like most Montana residents, when we talk about the Hi-Line we generally mean that part of Montana on US Highway 2 that is between the North Dakota border on the east side and the Rocky Mountain Front on the west side. It is between these two points that a visitor to Montana truly sees what the Hi-Line is all about."  From: http://www.bigskyfishing.com/Montana-Info/Hi-Line/montana-hi-line.shtm

"The Town of Brockton’s days are officially numbered after the Roosevelt County commissioners had little choice but to officially vote to disincorporate the town, Jan. 23.  No one from the public showed up at the meeting to oppose or support disincorporation for the tiny town. Officially, Brockton will remain a town for the next 90 to 120 days. The Roosevelt County Commissioners will send a letter to the State of Montana with their intent to disincorporate the town and it will take 90 to 120 days for state approval.  After the state approves, Roosevelt County will legally be in charge of what will officially be known as the community of Brockton.  Gordon Oelkers, commissioners whose district includes Brockton, said, “The hope is that we can get everything sorted out and, once Brockton, gets running again we can hopefully gradually get it into the hands of the Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes.” Oelkers reiterated that the county is not set up to care for a town’s infrastructure at their level.  Oelkers said that the commissioners will be working with the tribes and other various private sector groups to get Brockton functioning again. Although, Oelkers did say, “It’s going to be a long process.”"  From: Published in The Searchlight on Thursday, 25 January 2018 17:28 Written by Tyler Manning, http://northeastmontananews.com/wph/index.php/cs-news/local-news/6546-brockton-to-officially-disincorporate-after-commissioners-vote
