patience.
12-1-15: Well,
I managed a cow, a buck and 2
does. We have an ultrasound
scheduled for Dec. 9th for both
Trill and Dune. Cross your
fingers! Todd.
12-9-25:
Ultrasound shows 5(+?)

although the pups seem a bit
large for this early in the
pregnancy. We will monitor
this closely. I will begin
calling folks on the waiting
list until I have 14 total folks
sending deposits for both
litters ($200 check, not cashed
until pups are whelped). I
am excited!!
12-12-25:
All deposit openings are filled
at this time. If you are
on the waiting list, be patient
for Belle's litter (see below)
or extra pups from Trillium or
Dune-bug...

vet check today. Dewormed with
pyrantel (1 cc / 10#). All were
good except 2 small issues: 1)
Brienne has a small overbite. This
effects her in no way except her
potential in AKC dog shows. 2)
Arya has a small umbilical hernia.
These are quite common and easily
repaired. This was probably caused
because Arya was the first pup born and
Trill pulled too hard on the umbilical
chord as she chewed it off (this was
Trill's first litter...). I can
have it repaired here with my great vet
or will take $200 off the pup price and
you can have your vet fix it.
2-19-26: Volhard
Puppy Aptitude test results are
posted. Seven week photos will be
posted by early evening. First
choice female/male folks have 24

Military Tactical Stimulation – for
young pups. Done for the 1st two
weeks of life.
Tactical
stimulation
(between toes) Head held erect Head pointed down Supine position Thermal stimulation
1.
Tactile stimulation - holding the pup in one
hand, the handler gently stimulates (tickles)
the pup between the toes on any one foot using a
Q-tip. It is not necessary to see that the pup
is feeling the tickle. Time of stimulation 3 - 5
seconds.
2.
Head held erect - using both hands, the pup is
held perpendicular to the ground, (straight up),
so that its head is directly above its tail.
This is an upwards position. Time of stimulation
3 - 5 seconds.
3.
Head pointed down - holding the pup firmly with
both hands the head is reversed and is pointed
downward so that it is pointing towards the
ground. Time of stimulation 3 - 5 seconds.
4. Supine position - hold the pup so that
its back is resting in the palm of both hands
with its muzzle facing the ceiling. The pup
while on its back is allowed to sleep. Time of
stimulation 3-5 seconds.
5. Thermal stimulation - use a damp towel
that has been cooled in a refrigerator for at
least five minutes. Place the pup on the towel,
feet down. Do not restrain it from moving. Time
of stimulation 3-5 seconds.

Trilly-Dilly is a very perky, hard working girl
in the field! She is so happy when you
turn her loose that she "yip-yips" for joy! for
the first few minutes. She has superb
natural bird finding and pointing instincts, and
is very biddable. At home she usually has
her head on Todd's lap.
