The following warranties and conditions as to the purchase of the above-described animal:

1) The above-described animal, hereinafter called "said animal" is a purebred Brittany dog and may be registered with the AKC, and the Litter Certificate with pedigree(s) furnished is/are true and correct to the best of the seller's knowledge. Seller provides buyer AKC registration papers/to be processed by buyer. Seller has nominated and breeder-paid for the ABC Futurity litter.  Seller provides buyer with an AKC Welcome Home information and instruction brochure. It is buyer’s choice and responsibility to register and train their Pup, as may be required, with the AKC and ABC.

 

2) Said animal was delivered, tails docked and dewclaws removed under normal veterinarian care.  Said animal was provided 1^st vaccinations, worming and a Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test after whelping. Near time of pickup, a veterinarian routinely examined said animal for basic puppy confirmation: incl. dropped testicles & overbite.  Said animal shall not be used or donated for the purpose of use for medical veterinary or scientific research, experimentation, or field testing, without the express written consent of the seller. Brittany CA DNA study approved.  Said animal shall not be abandoned or delivered to a pound, animal shelter or like organization.

 

3) The buyer will not use or sell said animal to a substandard breeder. Buyer further agrees buyer will not knowingly permit or allow said animal to breed or be bred indiscriminately or in a manner not in conformance with AKC AND American Brittany Club recognized breed standards, ethics, rules, and regulations concerning health, production, and practices.

 

_____/_____4) Said animal is guaranteed to be in good health and lack any communicable diseases at the time of sale.  Buyer agrees to vet check said animal within _____ days.

 

5) Said animal is guaranteed against genetic blindness, hip dysplasia or any other major genetic disorder (except over/under bite) for one year. If said animal is determined to have a major genetic disorder by the buyer’s and seller’s veterinarian, it shall be returned to the seller along with the registration papers. The buyer will receive a replacement or full refund of the price of the puppy. Buyer agrees to be responsible for the expenses of the vet checks, health, vaccinations, treatments, and returning said animal.  Any accident, fall, illness, abuse or injury resulting in hip dysplasia and/or front leg elbow disorder, or other disorder, shall NOT be guaranteed.

 

6) If said animal, when between the ages of 2 and 3 years, is shown to have disabling hip dysplasia, upon receipt of a copy of the findings from OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) stating that the animal is dysplastic, it shall be returned to the seller along with the registration papers. The buyer will receive a replacement or full refund of the price of the puppy. Buyer agrees to be responsible for the expenses of the vet, OFA, and returning said animal.
